About Dr. Hultstrom

Dr. Leah Hultstrom, PT, DPT brings over 28 years of outpatient physical therapy experience to her practice. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Russell Sage College and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northeastern University. With a commitment to ongoing education, she has completed over 40 continuing education courses.

She specializes in a comprehensive and holistic approach to physical therapy that highlights her commitment to treating patients with a well-rounded perspective. By integrating traditional orthopedic techniques with osteopathic principles, she addresses not just the symptoms but the underlying causes of musculoskeletal issues.

Her expertise in Integrated Structural Therapy, which includes techniques like joint mobilization, muscle energy techniques, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and visceral mobilization, reflects a deep understanding of how different systems in the body interact. This unique approach allows her to evaluate and treat the body as a whole, rather than isolating issues to a single area.

Dr. Hultstrom’s knowledge on strengthening and conditioning, functional movement, and sports medicine further complements her holistic approach. By combining manual therapy with exercises and patient education, she aims to improve overall function and reduce pain, helping her patients achieve better health and performance.

Additionally, she offers services such as kinesiology taping, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, dry needling, and corrective exercises. Dr. Hultstrom is particularly passionate about addressing biomechanical causes of dysfunction and takes a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation. She enjoys working with athletes and individuals with spinal issues, striving to optimize their movement and overall well-being.
